About EstiMania & Game Rules
Master the art of card estimation, trick management, and strategic betting.
The Essence of EstiMania
EstiMania is a thrilling trick-taking card game of strategy, foresight, and risk management. Unlike traditional card games where having the biggest hand guarantees victory, in EstiMania your success depends entirely on how accurately you can forecast the number of tricks you will win in each round.
Hit your exact estimate, and your score doubles! Miss your estimate by even a single trick, and you lose points for the discrepancy. Every card you play must be calculated to reach your target number of wins — no more, no less.
Precision Estimation
Bid the exact number of tricks you expect to win each round. Exact bids earn 2x points; zero bids grant a bonus point.
Suit Hierarchy
Suits are strictly ranked: Diamonds beat Spades, Spades beat Hearts, Hearts beat Clubs. Aces are always the highest value.
Indian Poker Finale
In the decisive 1-card final round, you cannot see your own card! You only see your opponents' cards, forcing deductive estimation.
Suit Hierarchy & Card Values
Suit dominance determines the winner whenever cards of different suits are played.
♦ Diamonds (Gold)
Diamonds trump all other suits unconditionally. A 2 of Diamonds will defeat an Ace of Spades!
♠ Spades (Sword)
Spades beat Hearts and Clubs. They are overcome only by Diamonds.
♥ Hearts (Cups)
Hearts beat Clubs. They are overcome by Diamonds and Spades.
♣ Clubs (Clubs)
The foundational suit. Overcome by any card of Diamonds, Spades, or Hearts.
Card Rank Within the Same Suit
When cards of the same suit compete, the standard numerical ranking applies:
The Ace is the undisputed highest card in its suit, outranking the King, Queen, Jack, 10, down to 2.
How to Play: Step-by-Step
1. Dealing & Bidding
Each round begins with cards dealt to every player. After inspecting your hand, each player places a bet (from 0 up to the number of cards in hand) on how many tricks they anticipate winning.
2. Must Follow Suit
The player leading the trick may play any card. All other players MUST play a card of the same suit as the lead card if they have one. If a player holds no cards of that suit, they may play any card from any other suit.
3. Winning the Trick
The highest-ranking card (evaluating suit hierarchy first, then card value) wins the trick. The trick winner gathers the cards and leads the next trick.
4. Match Progression (1 ➔ N ➔ 1)
Round 1 starts with 1 card per player. Each successive round adds +1 card up to the match maximum (e.g. 5 or 10 cards), then scales back down round by round to 1 card.
Scoring System
Points are calculated at the end of each round based on the accuracy of your estimate:
Exact Bet (Bet > 0)
Winning exactly what you estimated awards double points! E.g., estimating 3 and winning 3 earns +6 points.
Zero Bet Success (Bet = 0)
Successfully winning 0 tricks when bidding 0 awards 1 point, protecting you during weak hands.
Missed Estimate
Over-bidding or under-bidding penalizes you by the absolute difference. E.g., betting 3 but winning 1 loses 2 points; betting 0 but winning 2 loses 2 points.
The Blind Final Round (Indian Poker)
In the final round, each player is dealt a single card, but you CANNOT view your own card! Instead, you hold it up facing outwards — you can see every other player's card, and they can see yours! Based on the cards you see on the table and your memory of previously played cards, you must deduce whether your unseen card is the highest and place your final bet.
Tactics & Master Strategies
Track Diamonds & Aces
Diamonds are invincible against other suits. If the Ace of Diamonds has already been played, the remaining Diamonds become the absolute masters of the board.
Control Your Wins
Winning too many tricks is just as damaging as winning too few! Once your bet is satisfied, deliberately discard low or off-suit cards to let others take the lead.
The Power of Zero Bids
When dealt middle-tier or low cards with no Diamonds, bidding zero is often the safest path to positive points (+1 pt) while opponents battle and lose points.
Position Advantage
Being the last to bet gives you complete knowledge of the total table bids, revealing whether the round is over-bid (aggressive) or under-bid (safe).
